Drive-in Movie

My friend told me about a drive-in movie about 40 minutes from our house. Our family use to go to one in Monte Vista all the time growing up. It sounded like a fun and inexpensive outing for our family and so we went. It cost our family $16 and we saw a double feature, Diary of a wimpy kid (totally hilarious) and Alice in Wonderland (not my favorite) With our odyssey we folded the back seat down all the way and then we popped up the middle bucket seats and turned them around. The kids were in there jammies and we had tons of pillows and blankets. It was such a fun night and we are definitely going back!!!!

Arizona shirts and scouts

My parents sent the kids shirts that they got while in Arizona. Olivia has worn hers 3 days in a row. I had to promise her that I'd wash it while she was asleep and then she could where it the next day. When she woke up she forgot about it. The last picture is of Derick at his arrow of light ceremony.

HELP!!!

I'm trying to add a video but my Video button that I usually push is gone.   About a month ago the look of  my "add pic's"  changed to where I can only add 1 picture at a time.  Is this the same for all of you.  I want the old way.  What do I do?

Come on Spring!!!

Fun with Brett

Here are some misc. pic's.  We've had beautiful weather here lately and have been outside alot.  Derick put Brett in the bjorn and was introducing him to fluffy.  Brett wasn't too thrilled.  Kaitlyn and Annika  played with him nonstop it was so cute.  Annika is smitten!!!   The last one is Brett and James at Kaitlyn's ball game.  He does this all the time now where he has to turn and look at you.  He won't turn away until you look down at him and smile,  it is so sweet!

Rain. . . . . I love it!

We had a major storm a couple weeks ago with not only a down pour or rain and hell but thunder and lightning which I love!!!  Kaitlyn and her friend Taylor were running around in it for a few minutes.  Jen if Taylor got sick I have no idea why?!?

Fun with Lindsey

Lindsey babysat the girls when we went to Alcatraz and here are some adorable pic's they took.  They just love Lindsey!!!!

Kaitlyn basketball

Kaitlyn just finished basketball.  She did so good and was the point guard because she could dribble so well.  She was fun to watch and even though the don't keep score, she is positive that they won every game!

A day in San Francisco

So we went last weekend to San Francisco with our friends.  We left Taylor and Olivia with a babysitter and took the Derick and Kaitlyn and Brett.  It was beautiful weather and we had a blast!!!   We went to Alcatraz, something that I've wanted to do for such a long time.  Call me crazy but I love things like this.  The buildings were so old and the history and stories that happened there are so interesting.   We then went to this old arcade place, pier 39, ate some crepes, fish and chips and then back on the trolley to BART.  We were exhausted when we got home but it was definitely worth it.   Next time I want to take the night tour of Alcatraz. . . . . woo  woo woo .........scary!!!

forgot one!!!

I forgot the best picture of all.  NO it's not one of the kids, it is James in a Broncos football helmet taking cover behind a little piece of plywood.   nice

Big D turns 11

Derick turned 11 last week and I can't believe it.  For his party he wanted to go to a paintball place but I figured it would be around $350.  So instead we had an airsoft gun war in our big back yard.  Most of the kids have their own gun and so for the few who didn't we had some extras.  James set up ply-board and other things all over the hard for them to hide behind.  I think they all had a great time and Derick was in heaven.  Nothing like a whole bunch of 11 year old boys running around with all the cool gear shooting each other.
