Patio is done!!!

Our patio is done and I LOVE it!!!!  After taking out the sod our neighbor and friend John Michael, came over with his tractor and moved dirt to make it level and dug a trench for our drain.   James moved sprinklers around, capped some off and then put in the drain.  Next the concrete guy came and did his "thang".  Then the fun part, ordering patio furniture and all the "cutsie" stuff began.  The furniture I bought online from walmart and target.  I found the white sofa table on craigslist for a steal.  I love the ottoman because the top comes off so I can store pillows and cushions in it.  I just got the firepit today and I love it.  Usually firepits are not very deep and wide so you only get a few pieces of wood in it.  This one is very deep and wide, perfect for our backyard patio.  I also love that our bbq and picnic table is right there and visible.  I love the picnic table my dad built and it is nice to see it and use it often.  We eat meals out there quite a bit and just hangout.   We showed a movie on our house using our projector last weekend and it was awesome to not have to drag over chairs.  All we had to do was sit on the couch, swivel the chairs around snuggle in blankets and watch.  So fun!!!  (how many times did I say love)  ha!!

Prepping for patio

We are putting in a patio for our picnic table and bbq and a seating are so we started taking out the grass this weekend.  I can verify that a sod cutter is a much easier way to take out the grass then a shovel.  After 10 minutes of shoveling me and Derick looked at eachother and said, "this is crazy I'm calling Ace Hardware."  30 minutes with that thing and we were done!!!!

Spring break fun

I don't think they slept in their own beds once over spring break.  It was a party in the toyroom, or living room or like the picture below Kaitlyn's room.  This was the first night Brett slept in his toddler bed and so we put it in Kaitlyn's room.

Riding horses

The kids were on spring the last 2 weeks and we had a good time just hanging out doing some thing around town.  One day we went to our friends property and rode horses.  The kids had a great time and I just love going out there.  There were also some lab puppies they got to play with.

My New Laundry Room

So my dryer quit on me a few weeks ago and so we bought a new washer and dryer.  That poor dryer hung in there for about 6 months with it running so loud that even with the door closed it was an awful noise.  So before the washer and dryer came I wanted to freshen up the laundry room.
I didn't take a pic before I started painting the cabinets but they were an oak.  I painted them a clean and fresh white which turned out so great.  Especially since my friend Emma came over and gave me a quick (painting cabinets 101) lesson.   Thanks Emma!!!  I can now say that I love painting cabinets since I've learned how to do it correctly.
I painted the walls the same color as I did the toyroom.  Picked out some hardware for the cabinets, found the shelf/clothes hanger which I love to hang my non dryer items.  Made a pedestal stand for the washer and dryer, found an adorable rug, picked out some cute items to go with the room and I was done.   I love my new laundry room and the washer and dryer is incredible.  I pulled a chair in the other night and turned on the washer light and watched an entire load wash.  It was amazing!!!!

Boring white appliances, white walls nothing real exciting!!!!

Painting the pedestal that the washer and dryer is going on.  I love this because I store my laundry baskets on top so I measured so that I had a clearance of 16 inches, just enough space to fit my baskets.  I also tucked away the cat liter which I REALLY love!!!!!
                                                     Here it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so happy!!!

Toy Room Redo

I painted my toyroom last week and it turned out cute.  I didn't take a before picture but just picture a WHOLE lot of white going on.  I love the gray paint with the white trim.  I also put our projector and xbox on shelves with cord hiders.  I left the screen white so it is easier to see.  I put up some vinyl and cutsie movie theme decor and voila it is done!!!  I need to make black out curtains so during the day it is easier to see, so stay tuned.

Family Pictures

Since our entire family was together, and we never know when that will happen next, we got a photographer to take pictures.  I loved the way they turned out!!!
