Ward Trunk or Treat

This is a lady in our ward dressed up and told the kids stories. Her makeup was amazing and she even cackled like an old witch. It totally freaked me out!!!

Awesome Culdesac

So this is the 3rd in year in a row where my neighbors put on this culdesac pumpkin carving party. He rents huge lights and sets them up with music and tons of food and of course everyone carving pumpkins. The kids love running around at night and like always have a great time visiting.

Firepit and Spooky Stories

For Family Home Evening we decided to do a firepit and have smores. Taylor had the lesson and decided that she was going to tell a "spooky" story. It was so cute, it pretty much was the 3 little bears but there were spiders and other stuff in it. She would start every sentence with "One morning" it was cute!!!!

Taylor showing off her new rain coat.

Derick took this picture of Brett, I think he did a pretty good job.

Welcome Brett Forrest Gray

Ok here are the pictures!!!! So first of all here is what happened. If you don't care scroll down. Went in at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday to be induced at 1 week over. Started pit and something else around 8:30. Was only dilated to 1 1/2 to 2. They kept upping the dosage every 20 minutes. By 2:00 started feeling contractions pretty good. At 4:00 a.m. really wanting an epidural but said they couldn't until I was dilated to a 3 so they gave me something to take the edge off which made me feel loopy and didn't help too much. At 8:00 a.m. begging for more meds and asking when I can have my epidural. she checked me and I was at a 7!!!!! Really, I could of had it I'm sure a few hours before but they never checked me. So anyways gave me epidural laid back down, and still felt everything. Waited 15 minutes still in pain so the had to take it out and give me a 2nd epidural. This one worked but I still felt my legs and alot of pressure. At 9:30 she checked me I was fully dilated. Started pushing at 9:39, and pushed through 3 contractions and had him at 9:44 a.m Sunday morning. Brett weighed in at 8 lbs. 9 ounces and was 20.5 inches long!

The kids came to visit on Sunday. I think this was my favorite part to see the kids expression when they saw him for the first time. Olivia looked so confused and wanted to see Brett and hold him right away. She also liked to "pet" him. Taylor held him for a few minutes and then was off drawing on some paper. Kaitlyn was so excited but mainly concerned about me. She kept coming and sitting on my bed asking how I was feeling and making sure her momma was o.k. Derick was loving on him and looked so big holding him. He was also making sure I was o.k. These pic's of me and all the kids on the hospital bed crack me up. We are running out of room on there!!!! So I got home today (Monday) at 11:00 a.m. and I'm feeling pretty soar and tired but excited. My stomach is really soar but I just love playing house with a new little baby. Thank good ness my parents are here to play mom for the next 2 weeks so I can rest.

Sunday pictures

My mom and dad are here from Colorado and we took some pictures before church the other day. They are here to help out until November 3rd!!!! Now all we need is a baby. I have an induction scheduled for this Sunday if nothing happens before then. I'll keep you posted. Ok NOW I'm putting the camera away.

I use to think that baby tracker thing was cute at the top of my blog. I loved looking at it and seeing how many days were left, but now it depresses me. Since I'm over due I officially think it's dumb.

nursery pic's

Ok so this is my last post until the baby comes. My camera is going away in the hospital bag and staying there. Here are the pictures of the nursery you all have been asking for.

Big D's football

So today was Derick's last flag football game. I'm glad I remembered my camera. They played an undefeated team and won. They had a great team and a great season. Derick was especially happy since grandma and grandpa Claunch were here from Colorado to watch him play. In fact when I woke up and came down stairs he was dressed in his uniform, with flags on, and had his mouth guard in. What a nut!!!! I love it though.

Taylor turns 5!!!!

Taylor is 5 today!!! Since it was conference Sunday it was nice and relaxing. Starting off the morning with her favorite breakfast of french toast bake and sausage. Then we watched conference and played in between. She was so excited for her Hello Kitty cake especially because when I'd ask her how she felt to be 5 she would say, "I'm not 5 until I blow out the candles." So at 7:10 tonight she was finally 5!!!! Tomorrow she is going in for surgery to remove her tonsils. Hopefully this fun birthday will help her recover fast.
