Today the kids were back in school after a 2 week break. I was kind of sad to see them go, we had alot of fun. When they got home from school Derick got a pickle and grapes for his snack. Kailtyn thought it looked good and ate some herself. How gross and weird is that!!!!!

Parker spent the night last night as did Cayden. Parker was in awe the whole time just hanging on every word the "big boys" said. During breakfast Parker was watching Derick the entire time. Too Funny!!!!

Sprinkler under the tramp

It was in the low 70's today and the girls wanted to put the sprinkler under the tramp. They had alot of fun but it still needs to warm up just a bit more.

Working on backyard

This last Saturday we had a major "work in the backyard" day. First we rototilled since the ground was super hard. Then we laid ground cover. We then had 3 yards of 1 1/2 inch drain rock delivered and put that over the ground cover. We worked all day and still have alot to do. It looks so much better than the dirt and weeds.

The Martin's are moving to Utah. We are so sad to see them leave so we had a bbq last night to see our goodbye's. Take care and keep blogging to keep us up to date. Sorry this is the only picture I could find of you guys.

during the bbq I went upstairs to check on the kids and I found Tay Tay in the bathroom putting on her makeup, wearing Derick's basketball headband, AND her puppy apron. Nice!!!!

First day of Spring Break

First day of Spring break started off slow with Kailtyn still being sick and doing laundry and such from our Tahoe trip, BUT ended up being great. Around 1:30 Kailtyn perked up and we all went outside. Me and Derick pulled weeds and then decided to mow the lawn. The girls played on the swingset and drove the john deere around the backyard. Ended with Derick pitching some to me and relaxing on the lawn. What a great start to 2 weeks of no school.

Lake Tahoe with the Brossards

For the beginning of the spring break we went up to Lake Tahoe (Taylor called it Lake Taco) to play in the snow. The kids wanted to have a snowball fight and so James decided to build a fort to protect himself. James and Neil got serious and made a cool circular fort . They had a huge snowball fight and tried to demolish eachothers forts. Poor Kaitlyn got sick and was running a high fever so she didn't get in on the fort building. She did feel a little bit better to sit on the rocking chair and watch.

Tubing Hill

On Saturday our family went to a tubing run that was just a couple minutes from the cabing and had a blast. Taylor especially loved it but was required to ride with an adult. She was bummed and kept saying "I want my own tire!"
