Kaitlyn got baptized today along with 4 other kids. She has been anticipating this day for quite some time. After she was baptized and was putting on her dress she kept saying I feel so warm. I just love her to death. She is such a cute, fun, smart girl.

All Star game
Derick made the all star team this year and they have a game at the end of the season. He had a good time but we are all glad baseball is over for this year. He said his favorite part was when they announced his name and he ran out from the dugout onto the field. the coach even had them tip their hats to the stands it was pretty dang cute. . . . I mean awesome.
Look how little he looks compared to some of the other players. He says that's good because the short ones are the quick ones, I agree.

Spicy meatloaf
So I've been in a mood lately for yummy warm food. It probablly has to do with the weather turning chilly and cloudy. This is the best meatloaf ever. It is my friend (Erin Bissell's) recipe. I not only love the taste of it all but it is very easy to throw everything in it and just let it bake. My kids absolutely love it. Last night I added potatoes and zucchini from our garden. Usually I add some onion as well. So here's the recipe and I promise you won't be dissapointed!!!
Spicy Meatloaf
1 lb. ground beef 1 lb. ground pork
1 cup milk 1 egg
2 T. dry minced onion 2 T. tomato paste
1 T. horseradish sauce 1 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
1/2 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Add all ingredients into mixing bowl, mix well and put into oval baking dish. Then throw in veggies all around. (Potatoes, carrots, onion, zucchini) Cover and bake at 450 for 1 1/2 hours.

Derick's baseball
I realized that I didn't put any pic's of derick playing baseball. They had a good season this year and of course he had a great time. He just loves sports. He batted awesome this year leadin his team with homeruns and hits and having only 3 strike outs for the entire season. His main positions were pitcher, shortstop, catcher and second. At the end of the year party I was proud of him because he got the sportsmanship award. The coach and parents said he was so kind to every single player, he always hustled and was just a good kid. That award meant more to me than his MVP award or making the All-Star team. Great job Big D!!!!!

Memorial Weekend
For Memorial Weekend we rented a lake house with some friends. The kids had a blast in the water and fishing on the paddle boat.
