So I chopped my hair today . I have such thick hair and so after the haircut there was just a mound of hair on the ground. I had James take a picture realy quick before I went to bed.

Back To School

Today was the first day of school!!!! The kids were very excited to start their new year of school.

Hairdo

I love playing around with Taylor's hair. I'm really into alot of piggies. It is neat, clean and stays in forever. Luckily Taylor sits still and lets me experiment on her.

Olivia thought she was hilarious by saying 1,2,3 and then jumping and landing right on her bottom like if she was on the trampoline. What a nut!!!

Backyard Camping

The kids wanted to "camp" in the backyard tonight. We lit up our firepit and chatted for awhile and then set up Mary Poppins on the portable DVD player for the kids to watch before going to sleep.

Breakfast with PaPa

My mom and dad are visiting from Colorado. My dad is the "breakfast guy" and makes the best breakfasts. Today Taylor wanted to be his little helper. So with her apron on, hair tied back, and chair next to the stove, she was ready to learn all the secrets.

Youth Conference / Dance Festival

So James and I were asked about 3 months ago to be the Directors of Youth Conference / Dance Festival. We were very nervous since: 1. We've never participated in OR seen a dance festival. 2. This is a big fat deal and I've never been in charge of a big fat deal!!!!
Well we've been trying our best for 2 1/2 months and it is only 2 weeks away!!! I'm a little stressed esp. since I am on the PTA board and over membership and that is in full swing right now too.
I have to say it has been a huge learning experience for me and I've discovered alot of things about me and hidden talents. I helped choreograph a dance and I haven't done that since I was 10. The last thing I thought I would be doing was teaching the dance to the entire Stake. I was even on youtube performing it so they could learn it at home. (don't try to find it I took it off, but I have to say I did have some pretty SWEET moves) I love working with the youth so that has been fun. Anyways this is the reason why I haven't been adding to my blog lately. I'll keep you posted on how everything goes!!!

My friend Emily took family pictures and I got some of them yesterday. She is amazing at photo shop and is working on some more but I was so excited I wanted to post some of them.


Taylor wouldn't lay down so this is just 3 of them. I love it, I sure wish my other kid would of cooperated.

school shopping

I can't believe school starts in 2 weeks!!!!! I took all the kids to Kohl's today and we had great success. Everything we bought was on sale and most of it was on the clearance rack. That is great for me since I was buying clothes for 3 kids this year. Taylor was ecstatic to go shopping and picking out shirts and such. The kids did great too which sometimes isn't the case. Some clothes were a regular $26.00 and I got them for 90% off ($1.79) CRAZY!!!!! For $180 all 3 are set for school. Yay to me!!!

Swimming

We went swimming at our friends house today and it felt so good. I then went home with the little ones while the big kids stayed and played. They then went to watch the fireworks at Brentwood Cornfest. What a fun day!!!!

JUMPER!!!!!

We found a big toad in the backyard and the kids had so much fun playing with it. They named him jumper.

At the beach

We went to beach during the 104 weather to cool off. It was much cooler and the kids had so much fun. They found shells, shark teeth, and lots of starfish. I didn't really look everything over until we got home and realized that the starfish were all alive. The kids thought that since they were not moving that they were dead. I now have 3 buckets of water with starfish in them in the garage.

Time with Spencer

Happy 30th Birthday to Kelli. She came over and we got to have fun with Spencer. My kids loved holding him and asked when I was going to have one!!!


When we told Olivia to be nice to Spencer she would pet him like a little puppy.

Our van

For trips longer than 30 minutes we put a movie on for the kids. They love it and so do I.


I love all the room we have in the back. When we go to the park I can fit 3 bikes, stroller, cooler and it's not even crowded.

When talking with my friend yesterday she asked if we ever got a new car or if we were driving the "pimpin" van still. I never took pic's of our new van so I ran outside today and took a few. We bought a honda odyssey and I LOVE it. I took some pic's for you. However my kids still talk about the van we borrowed with the mauve carpet on the ceiling. SWEET!!!!

106 is just TOO hot!!!

It has been 104-106 the last 3 days and that is just too hot!!! The kids have been spending the last few days in the pool and loving it. THIS is when I really miss Washington.




Somehow she always finds the mud!!! I hosed her off right after I took this picture and the water from the hose was burning hot. So I waited for a minute and it never got cold. It was just barely cool. That is how hot it is here!!!

Olivia is too cute!!!! I wish I would of taped her before this because she wasn't putting the hose in her mouth instead she would get this perplexed look on her face and look into the hose. It was cracking me up. BUT by the time I grabbed the camera she had figured it out.

Girls Camp

This past week I went to girls camp as a 3rd year certification leader. I had such a fun time and our group was amazing. On day 3 we went on a 7 1/2 mile hike up to some waterfalls that were so beautiful. Maile (James' mom) came down to be with the kids for the first 3 days and then James had them the last 2. I can't wait to go back next year!!!
